About the Drink

This Gin & Tonic is the ultimate go-to for a stylish, easy-to-make cocktail. Served in a proper gin glass, the generous ice keeps every sip icy cold while the bubbles from the tonic lift the flavors of your chosen gin. A few lime segments add freshness, and a sprig of rosemary takes it to the next level with an aromatic flourish.

Perfect for Fridays, rooftop evenings, or anytime you need a quick, elevated drink, this recipe is simple enough for beginners but always impressive. It’s a cocktail that looks as good as it tastes.

GLASS TYPE

HIGHBALL

MAKES

1 DRINK

INGREDIENTS

50 ml gin

Ice, plenty

Tonic water

Lime segments

Rosemary sprig (optional, for that extra aroma)

METHOD

1.

Fill your glass to the brim with ice. Cold is queen.

2.

Pour in 50 ml of your favourite gin.

3.

Top with tonic water, pouring gently to keep the fizz alive.

4.

Add a few lime segments and, if you like, a rosemary sprig for a fragrant twist.

5.

Give it a gentle stir and sip like you’re on a rooftop somewhere fabulous.

Tips

Glassware matters: A proper gin glass or highball glass lets the aromas shine and gives the drink room to breathe.

Ice, ice, ice: Fill the glass completely. Less ice melts faster, diluting your drink.

Go for a premium gin and experiment with ones that have floral or citrus notes. It makes a surprisingly big difference.

Chill your gin and tonic glasses ahead of time for a frosty presentation.
